Today we completed two five-metre-long asphalt patch repairs against newly installed concrete driveway layback gutter crossings in Clancy St, Padstow Heights. When a new concrete layback gutter crossing is installed, there is generally a section of the existing road asphalt that has been removed or damaged that needs to be reinstated.
To rectify this, we make sure the area to be reinstated adjacent to the new layback gutter crossing is neatly cut and the existing road base is intact or reinstated before we install the new asphalt. We ensure the asphalt is reinstated to the client and council specifications. We also ensure the new asphalt is installed flush with the existing asphalt to ensure a smooth ride for the crossover users and to preserve the streetscape for residents in the area.
Thanks to our technicians Jordan and Lewis for a job well done.
